Buying Books Secondhand

I ordered all my textbooks for the coming spring college semester today.  (Hopefully it’s my last semester before graduation.)  I bought them all used.

It was for money reasons, but I actually like buying books used.

I find it fascinating, the little underlines and notes, wears and tears, imagining what the people were like and what each little note meant to them.  I imagine getting inside their head.  Textbooks used can also highlight what other people found important about what they were learning.

And that old book smell – there’s nothing like it.  Instead of being a coke sniffer, I’m a chronic book sniffer.

Right now I’m watching The Twilight Zone.  The Addams and the Munsters are some of my other favorite old-timey shows to watch.
